After almost five decades, there was an urge for a new architectural guide for the city of Zagreb. Over a hundred historical, modern, and contemporary architectural landmarks were mapped and represented in a pocket-size guide. It aimed for fast and easy consummation by citizens, tourists, foreign architects, and architectural students.
The list of buildings and public areas is periodically divided into 6 groups each differing in colour. The items are marked on the map with a complementary description including the information about the architect, year of building, address, and its function.
The highlighted buildings are described with a characteristical architectural floor plan or section, a photograph, and a short text.
The guide also provides other useful information such as walking and cycling routs recommendations, short info about Zagreb's expansion over the centuries, and important architectural addresses.
The intention was to remind everyone about Croatia's capital city's valuable architectural contribution in past and recent decades. Packed as a small pocket city guide, it was given to citizens and tourists companioned with four thematical city tours.
There are three editions published, the last one available to download HERE.
